RE: OxygenOffice Pro 3.1.1; Subject: Serious Bug.

PLEASE FORWARD TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Bug/crash/hangup/MBR damage? It happened on my PC: Tyan S1590 Trinity
motherboard, Socket 7, 500Mhz AMD-K6-2 MMX CPU, 512Mb RAM, ATI Video w/16mb
RAM,
40Gb HDD partitioned 8Gb/32Gb, CD ROM; O/S = Win2000, SP3; PC is NOT
connected
to the Internet, using CD to load programs, "OxygenOffice 3.1.1 downloaded
fron
the 'SourgeForge.org.'

Problem: When diddling within OxygenOffice, in the "Help" option, in the help
book section, while scrolling and reading topics, (1st time} the PC kind of
froze with the HDD light on continous as if locked up for some 3-5 minutes,
during which time nothing could be clicked on the monitor; the problem SEEMED
to
go away on its own; BUT, while during the same session when scrolling further
down within this manual, the problem re-occured. THis time the PC system just
hung there and hung there and ... nothing on the screen/mouse/keyboard worked.
After 15-20 minutes the "Reset" button re-start was clicked. The PC lost all
reference to the Win2000 (damaged Master Boot Record?). A diagnostics program
indicated "Missing or Damaged Partition 01". A complete re-install of Win2000
had to be made.

Do you need any other info? What is the problem? Can you offer a solution in
case it happens again.

Yes, I did register & login etc., went round and round and round and round for
hours till hot under the collar. So, please sent this report to whomever.

Thank you.

Evan
