If I apply italics to a paragraph though the paragraph style, then remove the italic face from a word in the paragraph using the toolbar, I get the expected result: the word is not italic. However, I can't accomplish the same using a character style. It seems there is no way for a character style to override the italic property provided by the paragraph style. Is this limitation intended?
