A feature of Excel that I use frequently is being able to cut a row(s) or
column(s) and then paste it(them) to another location (effective a move
operation). I have not been able to find an equivalent operation in Calc except
to Cut the row, Insert blank line where it needs to go, Paste the row to the new
blank line, Delete the original (now blank) line.

Today I discovered Paste Special... but it does appear to work right. Setup a
simple spreadsheet with several rows and columns filled:
1) Select a row by right-clicking the row number, then select Cut (the row
blanks)
2) Select a row above this by right-clicking the row number, then select Paste
Special...
3) There is a Shift Cells selection, but the Down option is dimmed
(unselectable), but that's what I want.
4) By the way, the Right option is not dimmed, but selecting Right gives the
error "Filled cells cannot by shifted beyond the sheet.", which make sense.

Following this same procedure except with columns and upon selecting Paste
Special, the Right option is dimmed. Of course Down is selectable, but
selecting it gives the same error as above.

These seems to work opposite of the way it should work. The Shift Down (for
rows) and Shift Right (for columns) should be selectable and the cells paste
should shift the current cells up to the blank row(s)/column(s) left by the Cut.

By the way, when using Copy instead of Cut, it works the way it should.
