So you want a --enable-system-wide-mozilla-plugin-support that adds the patch from mmeeks in and disables the plugin page? I don't want that; I really think we should implement something which works for both ways and let the admin decide. > I have nothing against changing it in the way, that the plugin is activated > during the installation. But that should be done for all platforms then. And I > personally will not be able to do it in close future for the reason, you > dislike > so much: because I have not enough time for this task. I don't care about whether it is registered *on installation*. In fact, I don't believe it should. I can live with like it is right no - no registration per default. I need to create the symlinks in /usr/lib/mozilla etc. manually in any case. What I *do* want is that admins or packagers can *properly* register it system-wide. This no installation thing at all but something do be done by the admin after the installation. *You* talk about installation - I don't talk about installation at all. It just simply should be possible to do what you say *yourself* below: > I would expect, that a distro creates the link in the central Mozilla plugin > directory. aha. We get to the point. Which *EXACTLY* is what does *NOT* work in current OOo. You can do that, but the plugin will *NOT* work. This is what should be fixed - nothing more and nothing less. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
