The person who is to blame is then the mozilla packager or the packager placing
the plugin somewhere:

If that somebody honours the plugin defaults to firefox (yes, even installed
somewhere) for /usr/lib/mozilla everything is OK. Ad thenn either both firefox
will see the link or not. If not, they are on their own anyway.
