------- Additional comments from mb2...@openoffice.org Thu Oct 14 12:47:59 +0000 2010 ------- The problem still exists in OOo 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 on XP/Vista, in all languages I tried (which means English, German, Italian, Spanish, for the moment), and also for user dictionaries (it seems to be different for words originally included in standard.dic - unless all word have been entered there in upper- and lowercase ...). I agree with points (2) and (3) of paddylandau, but not with (1): A word added to a dictionary in lowercase should only be accepted as correct in lowercase EXCEPT at the beginning of a sentence/paragraph - i.e. after a full stop or a paragraph mark. To accept it capitalized in mid-sentence would also be annoying (on a similar level as the current behavior). I would also strongly suggest not to call this an 'Enhancement' - In my opinion, failing to identify the beginning of a sentence and allowing (or actually *forcing*) the following word to be uppercase is simply and plainly a bug in a spellchecker and not a missing feature. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
