Yes it does affect the embedded Hsqldb database as well, it's not an issue with the data, no matter which backend, the same issues with form editing etc occur when using the embedded hsqldb. It is an OO base issue, and if you care to search through google, or any other search engine, and even the oo forums for base, you will see that this issue is being mentioned more more, as more people try OO 3.3. The issue lies solely with the Forms, editing the forms, and sometimes runtime issues.
