------- Additional comments from tony...@openoffice.org Wed Feb 9 14:25:51 +0000 2011 ------- As I have already said, the issues present differently, even on the same OS, at the same patch level, but on differing hardware. As it stands, OOBase 3.3 is too unstable for production use, 3.2 worked flawlessly across all the environments/HW combinations I could try, 3.3 on the other hand produces differing issues dependent of OS/HW combinations. As an aside to this, on the same netbook, I tried copying a spreadsheet to the test database, and that caused OO to crash. Also, opening up the test DB, with the embedd hsql, and opening another Base file using a different backend, caused OO to crash, opening up multiple databases, with the same backend, worked fine. The same issues here, are also reproduceable, on another manufacturer's netbook, the Elonex webbook. Whilst the 2 netbooks, have differing hardware, they do share the same screen resolution of 1024x576, is this a coincidence? Or could this be the cause of all this. Also, why would OO 3.2 work perfectly without any issues, and yet OO 3.3 is proctically unusable. All this comes at a time, when at work we are almost ready to put in place a pilot schem with standard users, using OO, again, there is no way I can recommend this, whilst Base at least, is so unpredictable. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
