------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jun 20 01:12:33 -0700 2005 ------- bedipp's survey has confirmed the importance of a document properties setting for "move to last edit position" for templates. However mba's idea doesn't apply only to documents saved as templates. I once worked as quality manager for a consulting firm with a couple of hundred staff. Many of our QA docs opened several pages into the document (ie after the table of contents and introductory sections). Another example is reports: the Executive Summary/TOC/Introduction (ie the first page of really useful information) is often preceeded by a title page and a revision control page. A document setting to open at an author-defind location could be useful in that situation, too, especially as we move more deeply into the electronic age (although I have noted above that, in my experience, most documents are circulated as pdf - Acrobat's document-specific setting to automatically display the bookmark pane is useful in that regard). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
