i build alpine from source and specify absolute path for the passfile.
when quitting the alpine instance, i am not prompted for a master password to
keep any account credentials persistent.
this persistence is functional on other hosts in my network; why not this host?
build sequence is identical; source is identical; ~/.pinerc is identical.
something is clearly different, but i have not been able to find the difference.
would anyone have knowledge about what i need to fix?
