In the past, I remember that when, sometime, Alpine crashed until I was typing a mail, I could find it somewhere and resume the writing with minimal lost. Recently I had some crashes (ALPINE 2.26, Rocky Linux 9.x, installed on the mail server, Dovecot, MailDir), but I couldn't find the messagge I was composing. In my home I have a dead.letter file, but it was related at something older.
