- what shows /proc/asound/cards and /proc/asound/card0/emu10k1?
- how is the volume status? (contents of /etc/asound.state)
- does capture works?
- copy /usr/share/alsa/cards/EMU10K1.conf to Audigy.conf
and try to output rear speaker via
% aplay -Drear foo.wav
