My Santa Cruz works (well mostly anyway) with ALSA, although I do
note that it seems to give lower output than the SB PCI 128 I used to
have.
What *is* weird is the antics I have to go through to get some
inputs working. To get output from the "Line In" input, for example, I
have to mute the CD input. Then I get sound from Line In -- but now I
don't get any from PCM.
I kid you not.
When I get some time to play with it, I'll see if I can find
why. I've got a copy of the Cirrus docs, so it's a matter of going
through them. It would be good, for example, to figure out how to
switch the Versajack from Linux. I assume it involves a couple of the
AC97 (?) outputs, but we'll see.
