Hello *,
I have a problem with Alsa 0.9 and Quake 3.
Xine and XMMS working fine, but in Quake I got no sound at all.
Quake is running, but without sound.
(Xine and XMMS with OSS-Emulation, not direct ALSA-Support)
My System is a Debian GNU/Linux unstable with Kernel 2.4.14 and
ALSA 0.9.0beta9.

With OSS/Kernel drivers Quake3 works, but there are other strange bugs, so I decided
to try ALSA.
I heard of some incompatiblity between Quake3 and some soundcards.
Is this true? Is there a list of soundcards not working with Q3A?
I also tried 0.5.11, but Quake segfaults. (I can post some strace output,
if it helps to analyse the problem)
Thanks in advance.
bye
Waldemar
