Sound hardware is Yamaha YMF744, system is a stock redhat 7.2. Built alsa 0.9beta10 drivers, libs, oss-libs, and utils. Installed everything, playback works fine using aplay, but when I try to record I get:
--------------------- $ arecord -d 10 -f cd -t wav test.wav Recording WAVE 'test.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo arecord: pcm_read:1015: read error: Input/output error --------------------- test.wav is a 44 byte file.
