I have the same Card, and I was a long time searching where to switch
dig out/in on, too.
It works with Alsa 0.5 yet.
You have to edit /etc/asound.conf:
change
switch("S/PDIF output", false)
to
switch("S/PDIF output", true)
after a alsactl restore the changes take effect.
In your favorite mixer you have to pull the ADC Playback and Wave
Playback up for digital out.
