Well, they *probably* will... but if you have to ask that question then
you *really* don't want to be installing a development-series kernel on
your machine.  (Not unless you're a fan of debugging your kernel...) 
Far easier (and safer!) just to install the latest 0.9 ALSA drivers on
top of 2.4.

2.5.x is the unstable development branch leading to 2.6 - this early in
the fork it's safe to say that you should only use it if you really
don't care about your filesystems. ;)
