It's wierd, because I actually had extigy midi io working, as well as only 44100 Hz
(??? why not
8/16/24/31/48k?) audio io, before I backed up my drive and restored on a new
partition. I
didn't do anything fancy, that's just how it worked. Another thing that's changed is
that I
used to have some extra controls in alsamixer and asound.state, that aren't there
anymore. This
