my terratec ews88mt is running, too. (redhat7.3/alsa: cvs-version just
from about 2 weeks ago), but my .asoundrc looks different:

        

pcm.ice1712 {
type hw
card 0
}

ctl.ice1712 {
type hw

}



that all (and it works)

this just as another infos...
