I want to use alsa with my terratec dmx 6fire 24/96 for multitrack-recording. I installed (suse 7.3)
alsa-driver-0.9.3c, alsa-lib-0.9.3, alsa-tools-0.9.3, alsa-utils-0.9.3 and alsa-oss-0.9.1
I recorded a sample with "arecord test.wav" (Recording WAVE 'test.wav' : Unsigned 8 bit, Rate 8000 Hz, Mono) -- it works.
I tried "arecord -f dat test.wav"
(Recording WAVE 'test.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 48000 Hz, Stereo)
-- there is no sound.
Any hints for further steps?
