Is this card worht getting used? I mean one can get it for about $50 buck on ebay. How much of this sound system is supported? Is the breakout box supported? Does AC3 passthrough work? Does SPDIFF work?

There may be a lot better card's out there. Let's say the Game Theater XP is good
for it's cheap price, dont expect any expectional sound from it.

The breakout box it's supported, there is not very much inside that breakout box.

The SPDIF out, should work without trouble, at least for PCM, AC3 pass-through should work OK,
but some users have reported trouble. The SPDIF input consider it like function, it's work
only for PCM and only 48khz, get easily out of sync.

Front, rear center and sub-woofer channels and hardware mixering it's supported
in the current ALSA driver.

This is almost the same for all cs46xx based soundcard.

Thanks for the reply! I did not know that breakout box was limited. Sounds like a Audigy board maybe better for
me, or maybe an envy24 based board.
