Hi,
i'm using a m810 pc-chips motherboard with a sis630 chipset.
lspci reports:

i'm using these modules:

Module Size Used by Not tainted
input 3392 0 (autoclean)
snd-trident 26212 1
snd-util-mem 1280 0 [snd-trident]
snd-mpu401-uart 3328 0 [snd-trident]
snd-rawmidi 13472 0 [snd-mpu401-uart]
snd-seq-device 4224 0 [snd-trident snd-rawmidi]
snd-ac97-codec 40504 0 [snd-trident]
snd-pcm-oss 38308 1
snd-pcm 59396 0 [snd-trident snd-pcm-oss]
snd-timer 14244 0 [snd-pcm]
snd-page-alloc 6164 0 [snd-trident snd-pcm]
snd-mixer-oss 13304 0 [snd-pcm-oss]
snd 29412 0 [snd-trident snd-util-mem snd-mpu401-uart snd-rawmidi
snd-seq-device snd-ac97-codec snd-pcm-oss snd-pcm snd-timer snd-mixer-oss]
soundcore 3844 6 [snd]

using aumix, changing the value of pcm does not have effect, but
if i take pcm to zero, the device is muted.

oss drivers (2.4.22) have the same problem (pcm is not displayed at
all) and dmesg says "AC97 codec does not support pcm volume" or
something similar (sorry i can't recompile the kernel right now)

ideas ?

thanks!
