No, I didn't. That particular tip was posted quite a while back (I saw it the first time I started trying out ALSA...), during a time where apparently the SPDIF support was in CVS, but not in the released drivers. I *know* the support was in the release drivers by the time 0.9.6 was released, since I had it actually working at one point using that version.
I'm thinking it's a configuration issue, not a compilation one, but I don't have a clue where to start looking... I haven't had the time recently to spend debugging this, but should have time later this week. If I get sufficiently frustrated, I'll try the cvscompile, but I don't think it will make any difference. -->Steve Bennett > Hi, > > did you try to compile the alsa drivers, lib and utils with cvscompile? > > tip by Ole Andre Schistad ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) on > http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=Intel&card > =i820&chip=i820&module=intel8x0 > and > http://opensrc.org/alsa/index.php?page=intel8x0 > > Alex > > > -----Message d'origine----- > De : [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] la part de Steven > Bennett > Envoye : vendredi 10 octobre 2003 00:53 > A : [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Objet : [Alsa-user] Abit IS7 (ICH5/ALC650) SPDIF sound not working > > > Hi! > > I have an Abit IS7 motherboard, which has the Intel 865PE / ICH5-R chipset > with the ALC650 CODEC onboard.
