Ok, there are no "opl3sa2.o" files on the computer. Every opl3sa2.o
file has the prefix "snd-". I ran "make menuconfig" along with the previous steps on the install guide. I checked the Sound section. Sound Card Support is set to M(module) and everything else is blanked out. I'm continuing following the guide again, just to make sure I did everything right. BTW, I'm using: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml I really wish I knew what was wrong :-\ Thank you for your help thus far.
