Would anyone have any idea what settings I need to tweak
for ALSA built into a 2.6 kernel to avoid this problem ?
gw ~ jackstart -R -d alsa -d hw
jackstart: cannot get realtime capabilities, current capabilities are:
=ep cap_setpcap-ep
probably running under a kernel with capabilities disabled,
a suitable kernel would have printed something like "=eip"
gw ~ cd /usr/src/linux
gw /usr/src/linux grep -i cap .config
# CAPI subsystem
# CONFIG_ISDN_CAPI is not set
# CONFIG_SND_SSCAPE is not set
gw /usr/src/linux uname -a
Linux gw 2.6.0-test8 #5 Sat Oct 18 16:59:35 EST 2003 i686 GNU/Linux
