thrice be blessed the person who fixed the oss emulation in 1.0.0rc1. finaly after two months of head beating crippled sound i'm finaly able to enjoy normal sound in "enemy territory". if you still can't get it to work, run "echo "et.x86 0 0 direct" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/oss" "echo "et.x86 0 0 disable" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0c/oss" if you use different card or device, change the path according to it(for example card1 or pcm1p etc) guess this helps with quake too. thanks martin
