Hi, After much wrangling, guesswork and incantation, I've managed to get my ALSA subsystem (0.9.8) to recognize my Tascam US 428 Digital Recording Workstation. Next question-- how do I use it? I've compiled Audacity, Sweep and Ardour for hard-disk recording. All the above apps work with my lowly ALI5451 card on my laptop. I'd like to get it going with the slightly more capable Tascam US428. Below is the contents of /proc/asound/cards:
0 [A5451 ]: ALI5451 - ALI 5451 ALI 5451 at 0x1000, irq 5 1 [US428 ]: USB US-428 - TASCAM US-428 TASCAM US-428 (1604:8001 if 0 at 001/012) I've tried running jackd -d alsa -d hw:1,0 with no luck. Is there a way to link it to /dev/dspxx? Any ideas would be appreciated. Please let me know if more info is needed.
