Hi all! I've bought a Soundblaster Live! (PCI id 1102:0002, rev. 0a), but I don't succeed in getting it to play correctly. I have two speakers; to which plug should I connect them to? I've tried the green one, but while it works in M$ Windows, it doesn't emit any sound in Linux, and I've tryed (almost) every possible configuration of alsamixer. Xmms reports it to play correcty, but I cannot hear any sound. If I try to connect the speakers to some other plug, it appears to work, but I cannot control the volume with the master or the PCM slider in alsamixer, so it's quite uncomfortable. Can please someone who got it to work send me one's alsa state file (/var/lib/alsa/asound.state) and tell me to which jack I should connect the speakers to?
I'm using Alsa 1.0.4, in Debian, with a 2.4.24 kernel.
For some reason, in alsamixer you have to use the wave_surround slider to get any volume out of speakers.
There shouldn't be any great problem with using the green line-out.
