OK, I tried 2.6.15.1 which has Alsa 1.0.10rc3, Exact same problem.

Any other thoughts?

Im sure that SOMEONE has this thing running.

Is the kernel module correct?

Worse come to worse, I guess I can buy a couple of 16bit Sound Blaster
cards for about $15 each... but it doesnt seem this should be that hard.
Again, what about /asound.conf, and the fact that alsamixer only shows

        Analog Center/LFE
        Analog Front
        Analog Rear
        Analog Unknown
        Capture feedback into PLAYBACK
        SPDIF Center/LFE
        SPDIF Front
        SPDIF Out [Off]
        SPDIF Rear
        SPDIF Unknown

and no left/right.
HELP Please.
