I just recently set up Amanda on a machine
here and had it go through a full system backup. I have
it set up (in the disklist file) to do dumps of every disk
partition on the localhost. It appears to run just fine for
every partition but the root partition. For this one, I get the
following error in the log:
FAIL planner localhost sda7 0 [disk sda7 offline on localhost?]
The amdump file gives me:
got result for host localhost disk sda7: 0 -> -1K, -1 -> -1K, -1 -> -1K
My first thought was that perhaps this was simply too large,
but the combined total disk space in use across all of the partitions
is less than 1.5 Gb. I'm using Gnu Tar version 1.13.19. What would
cause Amanda to estimate the disk size as -1?
