Check this out. I received this in the mail: (my real hostname removed)
Day one:

out.]
Day three (Backup also failed, I had etimeout set too low):
FAILURE AND STRANGE DUMP SUMMARY:
hostname sda5 lev 0 FAILED [Request to hostname.net timed
out.]
Day four:
FAILURE AND STRANGE DUMP SUMMARY:
hostname sda5 lev 3 STRANGE
It went from 3 -> 0 -> 0 -> 3. Did amanda just give up and go to a level
it believed it could complete?
