If it's possible than my configuration is wrong :( Here is what I currently have: My Amanda server is a linux (Slackware 7, Amanda 2.4.p2). This server has a private IP (i.e. 192.168.31.100). Most of my clients are on the same LAN so there isn't a problem. One client though is located outside the firewall (and NAT proxy, actually it's the DMZ, but the IP address gets translated non the less). My NAT Proxy is IPFILTER on OpenBSD (2.8) and the NAT rules (for the DMZ) are: map fxp1 192.168.31.0/24 -> fxp1/32 portmap tcp/udp 30001:50000 map fxp1 192.168.31.0/24 -> fxp1/32 When amanda tries to reach the client in the DMZ I get: WARNING: iceland: selfcheck request timed out. Host down? What am I doing wrong? TIA Paolo Olivier Nicole wrote: > > > From What I read in the FAQ, Amanda won't be able to backup a computer > >if there is a NAT proxy in the way.
