i'm new to the list, so sorry if this has been asked and answered (i checked
the archives first).
i am using amanda to do backups on our network of *nix boxes and
wintel boxes. backups appear to be going alright. i cannot
seem to use amrecover to recover windows shares. the issue is
in the actual specification of the share name (setdisk command).
i invariably get:
501 No index records for disk: '//winbox/Users'. Invalid?
when using 'setdisk //winbox/Users'. no combination of escapes
do anything different. i'm using amanda 2.4.2p?, and samba
2.0.7-5 on a debian system. the host is set to the machine that
mounts the shares for backup, which is also the machine running
amrecover.
looking in the directory where the index is stored, i can
clearly see the share (encoded with amanda's '_' == '/'), but i
can't do a dern thing about getting amanda to set the disk to
the share.
anyone got any ideas?
