It depends.  Prior to 2.4.2p2 it would do this unless you built it with
--with-pid-debug-files, in which case it would create files with unique
names.  At 2.4.2p2, the debug file names always contain a timestamp and
are unique (Amanda also cleans up after itself).

Ahh.  The REQ (request) packet is listed in the corresponding
amandad*debug file, but if you've run amcheck it will be clobbered
from the run this morning (look for the "SERVICE sendsize" line).
Hopefully the run tonight will leave it alone and you can grab it.
