Dear All,

I am trying to solve one problem with amrecover for few days so far.
I did not find anything related in any mail lists or news groups.

amrecover seems to start OK:

----->
farm4 /# amrecover -C backup -s farm2
AMRECOVER Version 2.4.2. Contacting server on farm2 ...
220 farm2 AMANDA index server (2.4.2) ready.
200 Access OK
Setting restore date to today (2001-09-14)
200 Working date set to 2001-09-14.
200 Config set to backup.
200 Dump host set to farm4.
$CWD '/' is on disk 'hda2' mounted at '/'.
200 Disk set to hda2.
/
amrecover>
----->

Then I am trying to recover a directory of a user backuptest:

----->
amrecover> lcd /home/backuptest
amrecover> cd /home/backuptest
/home/backuptest
amrecover> add 1
Added dir /home/backuptest/1 at date 2001-09-13
amrecover> extract

Extracting files using tape drive /dev/nst0 on host localhost.
The following tapes are needed: backup_01

Restoring files into directory /home/backuptest
Continue? [Y/n]:

Load tape backup_01 now
Continue? [Y/n]:
Error connecting to tape server: Connection refused

Everything ends very sad as you can see.
In my amindexd.debug on a server I have the following:

------>
< 201- 2001-09-13 0 backup_01        /home/backuptest/1/
< 200  Opaque list of /home/backuptest
> ORLD /home/backuptest/1
< 200- Opaque recursive list of /home/backuptest/1
< 200  Opaque recursive list of /home/backuptest/1
> TAPE
< 200 /dev/nst0
? unexpected EOF
Removing index file: /var/lib/amanda/backup/index/farm4/hda2/20010913_0
amindexd: pid 14216 finish time Fri Sep 14 13:24:16 2001
------>

Everything is OK with .amadahosts, inetd.conf and hosts.allow.
Tape is rewinded. Device has proper access permisions.
Where else the problem might be?

Thank you in advance.

Alexei
