You know what the problem actually was? On Redhat 7.2 built and installed from source RPM. .amandhosts file is NOT in /home/amanda ! It is in /var/lib/amanda/.amandahosts cp /home/amanda/.amandahosts /var/lib/amanda/.amandahosts Fixed it.
