This indicates that DB_File was installed from CPAN, not from ports. That can make things go a little strange later, besides getting this error message from the package tools every time you run them. > make: don't know how to make /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.6/mach/Config.pm. > Stop > *** Error code 2 I think this indicates that you've upgraded Perl 5.8.6 to 5.8.7, but that didn't auto-upgrade the CPAN files. I recommend you uninstall bsdpan-DB_File-1.811 and reinstall DB_File from ports, which may bring things back in sync. BTW, ignore the comment that FBSD 5.3 is a beta release; it isn't, it's a fully supported Extended Life release. -- Clifton -- Clifton Royston -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tiki Technologies Lead Programmer/Software Architect "My own personal theory is that this is the very dawn of the world. It encourages us to be earnest and ingenious and brave, as befits ancestral peoples; but keeps us from deciding that because we don't know all the answers, they must be unknowable and thus unprofitable to pursue." -- Teresa Nielsen Hayden, 1995 ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Tame your development challenges with Apache's Geronimo App Server.
