Hi,
been running 2.3.3 for a while here, with DNS tests enabled.
Since the release of the system in production is getting closer, I've started checking processing times and system load.

While the system runs unloaded (no swapping) with 10 concurrent amavisd-new process (ClamAV+SA with DNS tests), in the last days it takes more than 15 seconds to process a message. There's been an increase of about 70-80% in processing times in the last couple of weeks. Without DNS tests messages pass through in less than 0.4s.

Altought the cause might be our local DNS, I am considering to reduce the number of DNS checks according to their hit ratio.

I wonder: is amavisd-new using multi.surbl.org automagically and then reporting single SURBL hits, or should I explicitly configure it?

Haven't found any reference in the docs.

TIA,
Paolo
