We're actually down to about 250,000 connections a day now that our biggest "offender" client is no longer with us - they were 21 users and received 15 MILLION invalid user hits per month. We get about 40000 greylisted messages a day now (using "selective" greylisting with postgrey), and only about 2500 of those try back. Probably postgrey is just fine for now.
