Amavisd-new cannot detect doc files with embedded executables without performing the decoding and running ripole. Skipping the decoding/unpacking greatly reduces the effectiveness of the banned_filenames feature of amavisd-new. Clamav can scan for malware in document files, but it must already have a signature. -- Noel Jones ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
