I encountered exactly the same problem on my personal Debian Sid amavisd-new instance. This bug related to Debian perl migration process to 5.10. $ dpkg -S RawDeflate.pm perl: /usr/lib/perl/5.10.0/IO/Compress/RawDeflate.pm libio-compress-zlib-perl: /usr/share/perl5/IO/Compress/RawDeflate.pm $ dpkg -l perl libio-compress-zlib-perl |grep ^ii ii libio-compress-zlib-perl 2.011-1 Perl interface to zlib ii perl 5.10.0-10 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction and Report The bug has already been reported : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=482056 You should dist-upgrade again your system.
