We run SA and anti-virus in pre-queue mode.

We use Postfix' smtpd_proxy_filter and Postfix' Sendmail milter API.
smtpd_proxy_filter is more stable. Sometimes the milter on Postfix bails out.
I haven't had time to investigate that any closer yet.

In either case we send a hard error of 5xx during session.

The way you put it, "he was president" and "he was alcoholic", you make it
sound as if both were illnesses.

He omitted the part of "we must be willing and patient" in "yes we can".
Probably sounded better. Same in "Where do you want to go today?". It doesn't
happen by itself. You still need to do the "go"-part. ;)
