Hi, now my problem is solved but I have understood properly which was the
solution for my problem !
I have modified the values in this mode:

$max_servers = 15
and
smtp-amavis unix - - n - 10 smtp

..then I have increased memory available for mail server to 4 GB and then I
have rebooted machine (also I have rebooted esx host), now the queue is
empty and I have these resources available:

[r...@mail ~]# free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 3894828 3449876 444952 0 154920 2385728
-/+ buffers/cache: 909228 2985600
Swap: 2104472 68 2104404

I must add that I use Maia-1.0.1 and my mail server is a virtual machine on
ESX host.
Thanks.

------

   Salvatore.
