Skipping the discussion whether or not caching is a good idea to solve this
problem (which we should have!), I have some issues with the current solution.
In particular, I don't like the way in which the cache is currently weaved
through the ServiceImpl. Why not create a GadgetCache, and put that 'on top' of
the GMS? We have a nice dependency manager mechanism for that, and in that way,
we can separate the caching aspect from the actual logic of 'being' a gadget
manager.
