Ivo Ladage - van Doorn commented on AMDATU-169:
-----------------------------------------------

- Each gadget rendered in the dashboard must have a unique identifier. Since
the same gadget may be added multiple times, using the gadget URL as id is not
guaranteed unique, hence the additional <number>.
- The m_startId is effectively only used when showing the default gadgets on a
dashboard of a user that has not logged in yet. After login, the dashboard
determines the start ids. So restarting the bundle would have no effect.
- Yes, I did intend to add the URL to multiple locations in the JSON object.
However, I'm working on upgrading to the new dashboard plugin (see
http://jira.amdatu.org/jira/browse/AMDATU-76) with which this issue will be
fixed (url will be removed).

> In Amdatu the dashboard jquery plugin has been modified to allow
> retrieving/setting gadgets in users AppData. These calls should be moved to a
> separate file such that the plugin can be updated individually.
