For war deployment a "amdatu.dir" property was introduced that is
(in)consistently used for determining the root home/work dir. A few notes:
1) Some component use it 'work' dir while other create a 'work' diretcory in
this dir
2) A lost of components have same code for determining the work dir
3) Should configManagement not fix this for us anyway?
