Above ACE fixes look good. Would be even better if they had test coverage but 
thats an ACE issue :)

@marrs you may want to consider the path at the issue below. Issue occurs every 
now and then in itests. We would have to upgrade to a DM snapshot to get that 
in though. You think it is wise to do so for 1.0?
