Attached patch to resolve defaults issue. Two remarks:

  • DEFAULT_MEMTABLE_THROUGHPUT_IN_MB differs between Cassandra thrift and Hector, but this property should explicitly be set by the client since it needs to know the heap size of the servers VM
  • The property merge_shards_chance is set to 0 by Hector because this property is not included in ThriftCfDef. This property is not used anymore in Cassandra, hence it has been removed from Hector.
