Another thing to consider. In the current setup the autoconf must wire to the CM packages outside the MA. Thus a CM package bundle must be deployed for the autoconf to be able to resolve at all and the MA will not be configurable. Therefore letting autoconf wire to MA entirely may be a more robust option. Still leaves the same problem in another direction though...
