Ok. I'm asking because there recently was a long thread at Apache about 
patching code in other Apache projects and even releasing modules in the 
namespace of those other projects. Neither of which was considered to be "good 
community behaviour" so I was wondering if we were trying to get these things 
solved at Cassandra. Sounds like, where relevant, we are. Thanks for clearing 
that up.
